Minnetonka MN is a large and well-known suburb in Hennepin County, MN. It is located eight miles west of Minneapolis. The name comes from the Dakota Sioux mni tanka, meaning "great water". It is known for its large, namesake lake, Lake Minnetonka. Minnetonka is home to several large national corporations including Cargill, Carlson Companies and UnitedHealth Group.
Minnetonka and the surrounding area is home to a number of beautiful wedding and event venues including the Lafayette Club, The Woods Chapel, Minnetonka Orchards, the Carlson Towers, Green Acres Event Center, the Garden Room of Eden Prairie and The Hutton House.
